At our recent Friday Support Group, we were grateful to welcome Stacey Pinilis, who guided participants through a calming and empowering tapping (EFT) session designed to help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and create a sense of emotional safety.
This tapping session was recorded as part of our 2 Moms No Fluff Podcast, proudly sponsored by 1in6 Support.
Even without prior experience, members were able to follow along easily as Stacey demonstrated each tapping point and explained how this simple, body‑based technique can interrupt cycles of overwhelm, anxiety, and trauma responses. Her approach was gentle, accessible, and deeply supportive — exactly what our community needs at the end of a long week.
What Is Tapping (EFT)?
Tapping, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is a mind‑body practice that involves gently tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on thoughts, emotions, or sensations. Many people find that it helps:
- Reduce anxiety and stress
- Calm the body during moments of activation
- Increase emotional resilience
- Support grounding and self‑connection
It’s a tool that can be used anytime, anywhere — and it’s especially helpful for survivors navigating complex emotional landscapes.
What Stacey Guided Us Through
During the session, Stacey led the group in:
- Breathwork to settle into the body
- A full tapping sequence across the major EFT points
- Gentle prompts to acknowledge stress while inviting calm
- A closing grounding moment to help participants return to their day feeling more centered
Her facilitation style was warm, validating, and trauma‑informed — a perfect fit for the 1in6 Support community.
Why We Offer Sessions Like This
At 1in6 Support, we believe healing is not one‑size‑fits‑all. Tools like tapping can be powerful additions to therapy, peer support, and personal reflection. They give survivors practical ways to soothe their bodies and minds, especially during moments of overwhelm.
Our Friday Support Group continues to be a space where members can explore new skills, connect with others, and build confidence in their own healing journeys.
