January 2026

January was a month of learning, advocacy, and connection across the 1in6 Support community. From disability rights sessions and conversations with congressional candidates to school‑based guidance, legal insights, and community wellness offerings, this month brought powerful opportunities for families to deepen their knowledge and feel supported.

This month, our community came together through storytelling, music, movement, and advocacy. From the Montclair Story Salon’s powerful “What I Wish You Knew” evening featuring five 1in6 Support storytellers and a moving performance by our very own Alma Schneider to inclusive arts programming, yoga for caregivers, and preparations for our inaugural gala.

June arrives with big news, fresh momentum, and the start of our Summer of Support campaign. This month, we’re celebrating a new grant from the Midland Area Community Foundation, spotlighting our incredible Parent of the Month, sharing expert guidance on choosing the right swim lessons, and offering a delicious seasonal recipe.
